“I Am” by Black a.m.

Moody, dark, and entrancing is the way we would describe Black a.m.’s newest release “I Am.” Black a.m. has long been in the industry before realizing his own sound. This multi-talented instrumentalist/producer/writer, Sinclair Wheeler, was signed as rapper Machine Gun Kelly’s guitarist for multiple tours. Wheeler went on to perform live guitar work during NGHTMRE’s recent “The Portal Tour,” and has collaborated with and performed alongside hundreds of artists and industry figures along the way.

Black a.m.’s sound has a blues-rock flavor woven in to darker, heavier house beats. You can hear these sounds most clearly in the build ups around 0:30 and 2:20 in “I Am.”

Black a.m.’s hard work on instrumentation, production, and a sharp creative edge derived from extensive tour life now manifests itself into gritty, rock-laced vision that has only just begun. Singles, EPs, and plenty of tour dates are just the start of what 2020 has in store for Black a.m. and we can’t wait!
