Chainsmokers Win Big at BBMAs

The Chainsmokers are high and it seems like they aren’t going to be coming back down anytime soon. Their most recent news is from the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, where they took home 4 awards out of their astounding 22 nominations. “Closer” brought in all four awards in the categories of Top Dance/Electronic Artist, Top Hot 100 Song, Top Collaboration, and Top Dance/Electronic Song. Though many were most likely expecting them to perform their hit with Halsey, who was present at the award show, they opted to stun with an acoustic performance of “Young.”

Closer,” according the, is also the second song in history to reach one billion on Spotify, second to Drake‘s “One Dance.” There is no doubt that they will continue to produce hits of this magnitude and break records.

The duo will be bringing their Memories…Do Not Open Tour to Forest Hills Stadium in New York on June 9 and 10. Their tour is full of surprises, showcasing musical talents they discovered on YouTube as well as killer visuals ranging from fires in high-def to actual fireworks on set.
