Paul Van Dyk Set Sails In Miami With Esscala & Mystery Sounds

As the end of Winter Music Conference 2015 silently snuck up on the music world, Paul Van Dyk hit the sea with some dedicated fans. Esscala and Mystery Sounds presented their annual Paul Van Dyk boat party on Saturday, March 28.

Boat parties were easily discovered during the week, but trance events in Miami this year were few and far between. Being the end of the week, everyone was exhausted from their past escapades, but that didn’t stop the die-hard Paul Van Dyk fans from showing up and dancing the night away.

11138176_802950703129048_8716658688966836333_nIt was a late night cruise around Miami, which was pretty magical — if you were on top of the boat, you got the grand tour of a lit-up, nighttime Miami and of course the vibrant lights and production from Ultra Music Festival. Something about being under the Miami stars made the moment all the more special.

With three floors of music, you literally couldn’t escape, but no one wanted to! This boat was possibly the most heavily branded of the week — including PVD’s signature glow sticks, a giant picture “frame,” and posters for his upcoming release, “The Politics of Dancing 3,” which comes out on May 5th and is available for preorder on ITunes now!

22409_802949273129191_8396899763254666246_nIt wouldn’t be a successful Paul Van Dyk boat party if he didn’t board with his signature captains hat and a bag of tricks to throw at the trance family. The Vandit Bandit took to work and played a beautiful set compiled of tracks like a fun Miami edit of “New York City” and of “Don’t Deserve You.”

The crowd ranged anywhere from Argentina to New York, and of course Germany — Paul Van Dyk made the masses feel welcomed with his ever-loving vocal track, “Home.”

As the boat neared the dock yet again, Paul Van Dyk took special time to chat with each of his fans, sign autographs, and take pictures with them. It’s not often you find such a talented artist who still takes the time to make each of his followers feel special and important.

As this WMC comes to a close, we can only hope that Paul Van Dyk will make his return back for a five hour Governor’s Island show, or sooner! Of course, we look forward to next years boat party with him as well!
