Preview: Sold Out Pryda Generate Tour At Verboten 2-27-15

Eric Prydz brings Generate Tour to a Sold Out Verboten on Friday

After blowing the roof off of Madison Square Garden and sweeping NYC off its feet, the legendary, Eric Prydz returns to the city that never sleeps for a special stop on his Pryda Generate Tour.

It comes as no surprise that Brooklyn’s hot spot, Verboten, is hosting this special night of proper progressive music. This leg of the tour was announced just a few months ago, and sold out in virtually no time at all.

Each time Prydz is in town, he reminds NYC what his sound is all about, but we’re in for an even bigger treat as his Pryda alias comes out to play. Alongside him for the night will be fellow Californian’s, Ricoshëi and Brooklyn native, Brad Miller.

Eric Prydz has been a common name in the dance music scene over the last ten plus years and his sound and style has expanded into something indescribable. To many, it seems as though “Prydz” should be it’s own genre at this point, because his signature sound is so unique to the ear.

Seeing as his last NYC set was in a venue that seats over 18,000 people (not including the floor), we are in for something unheard of. Between Verboten’s intimate room, great vibes, and passionate Pryda fans, it’s sure to be an unforgettable night.

A handful of his tracks have hit the leader boards over the years, but each of his sets are strangers to a predictable sound — he’s well-noted for playing ID after ID — filthy track after filthy track. In other words, he’s one of the few that still take you on an indescribable journey into a mesmerizing whirlwind of music. He’s sure to put you at a loss for words.

Of course, “Call On Me” was a household song for everyone in the U.S., but his real beauty is spotted in original tracks like “Liberate,” “Everyday,” and his latest work of magic, “Tether.” His set this Friday is sure to take you somewhere else and help you leave the world behind you for a minute.

Tickets sold out within minutes of release, and are non-transferable — a respectful call on Verboten’s part as far as resale and ticket scalpers are concerned. Don’t fret though, if you haven’t purchased tickets yet, Verboten will be releasing a very limited amount online sometime prior to the event and at the door.

Be sure to sign up at for an access code to ensure another shot at the last batch of ticket releases. It’s bound to be a night New York won’t soon forget — hope to see you on the dance floor!
