If you’re looking to shed that turkey weight on Friday evening, Love Nightclub on Long Island has the solution for you. Native New Yorker, Erick Morillo is making his Love debut in their second season of business, this Friday night, November 28th.
Heating up the decks for house-legend is Long Island local, DJ Dami. Dami has opened the floor for other big names such as Theo and has played at some of New York’s finest venues. Just a week prior, he opened the main floor at our very own EDMNYC party, as we hosted Grand Theft at Marquee New York. It will be a challenge to open for someone as established as Morillo, but he seems more than ready for the test.
Morillo has been one of the front-runners in the house music game for years now and his household name is spoken of across the globe. He’s well known for his outstanding record label “Subliminal Records” and tracks such as “I Like To Move it” and “Live Your Life.”
His Colombian-American roots give him a certain edge that makes him stand out from your ordinary house DJ/producer. He’s been spinning for over a decade, and yet each of his sets are original and fresh.
Being a New Yorker himself, he’s constantly in the area bringing his people the deep funk that they deserve. Morillo kicks off Thanksgiving week at Bliss Lounge in Clifton, NJ this Wednesday and then makes his way over to the island for a Black Friday celebration. Following this packed week, Pacha NYC will open their doors for him yet again on December 6th as part of their 9-year celebration.
Just a short month ago, Morillo played an open-to-close set at Pacha NYC where he took things into the early morning hours and kept the crowd grooving. His passion, sweet personality, and charm light up any room he’s playing and his music is guaranteed to keep your body moving for hours. He is loved by the fans as well as the community where he grew up in where he even has a street named after him where he used to have his home studio while building a name for himself.
There is no doubt that it will be another packed night at Long Island’s finest nightclub, so be sure to get there early. Tickets are available online until the day of the show and a limited amount will be available at the door for purchase.
