Will.i.am Responds to Song Theft Accusation of Arty and Mat Zo’s ‘Rebound’

After a much heated debate on who’s right or wrong in the alleged “theft” of Arty and Mat Zo’s track ‘Rebound’, Will.i.am says he’s been unfairly accused of plagiarism and copyright infringement of his song ‘Let’s Go’ from his new album ‘#willpower’. He has come out in the video below to publicly defend himself blaming the label’s legal dept.

Arty and Quintino both said that there was never any legal contracts signed between both parties and that this shouldn’t have happened. Mat Zo commented on his personal and artist profile on Facebook saying that energy should be invested into supporting ‘Rebound’ rather than trash talking to Will.i.am and Chris Brown.

It is unclear at this time how this will all be resolved but most likely royalties will be paid to the creators of the original track and production credit will definitely be given.
