After much anticipation, Gareth Emery alongside Standerwick have released their much awaited single “Saving Light” on Monstercat on January 30th. The longstanding hyped single has had Trance fans on the edge of their seat since EDC Las Vegas 2016 when Gareth first teased the track. Since then, many have tried to theorize which of the Trance focused labels would get their hands on the single; and yet Monstercat has shined through once again to exhibit the label’s boundless reach from genre to genre in the Electronic music realm.
The long awaited “Saving Light” certainly does not disappoint as Gareth Emery & Standerwick craft an absolutely moving single accompanied by HALIENE gripping vocals with lyrics co-wrote with Max Steeper. Not only is this an absolutely touching music ensemble, but it’s an incredibly heartrending music video to provide even more emotion to this record.
“Saving Light” is not only a major moment in Monstercat’s history by having one of the most renowned artists in Trance, Gareth Emery on the label, but there is major philanthropic effort involved that hits close to home for everyone involved. From release day until March 1st, 100% of all profits made by both artists and the label via sales and streaming revenue will be donated to the Anti Bullying group Ditch The Label. On top of the proceedings, Monstercat will also be pushing a donation drive to the charity throughout the campaign.
As either victims or anyone close who has ever been a victim to bullying, the “Saving Light” campaign aims to truly make a difference in many people’s lives through both the power of music and the power of noble causes such as Ditch The Label. Check out the video below and help the cause here.
