We had a blast at the Heldeep Pool Party at The Delano Beach Club on Saturday, March 28th during Miami Music Week! The sun was radiating down upon us on as Shaun Frank took to the decks to kick off this special day. Surprise guest Don Diablo made an early cameo on stage and Shaun Frank played his remix of Kiesza’s “Take Me To Church” along with many unreleased tracks. His track with Borgeous, “This Could Be Love,” is most definitely one to have on your playlist.
Spinnin’ Records artist Sam Feldt, with his hands held high, was having a great time making the crowd groove to his deep, tropical vibes. He really channeled the summertime feel by pulling a Kaskade and Djing barefoot. His latest track produced with The Him featuring ANG13, “Midnight Hearts” is absolutely going to be a summer anthem.
American Dj Destructo, born Gary Richards, transitioned us into the evening as he played “Chav Cannon” created by Eyes Everywhere. From tech house to G- house to deep house, he spins it all and we appreciate his variety of musical taste. A girl in the crowd screamed she wanted “rage music” but he kept the chill, groovy vibes going. Thank you Destructo.
Gaston Steenkist and René ter Horst, professionally knowns as the Dutch duo Chocolate Puma, played their track produced with Tommie Sunshine titled “Chicage Disco” as Bakermat took over the decks. Bakermat played The Magician’s remix of Blonde’s “All Cried Out” and Ben Rodenburg was on stage slaying the saxophone. Hearing a live instrument included in a Dj set is extremely refreshing to witness. Bakermat also played his hit “Teach Me;” a track that will be glued to your brain waves for an eternity.
The host of the Heldeep pool party, Oliver Heldens had an incredible set at the Delano. His signature future house sound is so irresistible and his mixing is impeccable. During Helden’s set, Sander Van Doorn came on stage to play, “THIS”, a collaboration created by the two all-star producers.
The next guest appearance was made by French producer/ Dj Martin Solveig. As he made his way to the stage his voice boomed over the microphone; “Make some noise for Oliver Heldens, Miami!” Solveig played his new track produced with GTA, “Intoxicated,” which was heard a lot during Miami Music Week. Shaun Frank came back on stage to play his new track with Heldens titled “Shades” featuring Delaney Jane’s unforgettable vocals. The most important guest that Heldens brought to his show was his mom. She was chatting with the other artists in the bungalow and glowing with pride for her son. Adorable.
Other dance tracks were played by Heldens such as “Return Of The Mack” produced by Lady Bee featuring Rochelle and his remix of “Can’t Stop Playing” produced by Dr. Kucho! & Gregor Salto as beach balls were soaring above the crowd. He added his signature future house flair and created a re-edit of “Finally” originally produced by CeCe Peniston featuring Joyriders. As the sun was setting, giant Oliver Heldens fatheads were scattered all over the party. His latest track “Melody” is a bit different than his traditional style and is strikingly beautiful. This further proves his talent as a producer at such a young age and we’re eager to hear more.
The Heldeep Pool Party was a huge success with it’s elite roster of artists, guest appearances, and incredible staff. Thank you Delano Beach Club and Spinnin’ Records for the slammin’ party!
