With an overwhelming abundance of trance over the last few weeks, it comes as no surprise that Esscala is presenting New York City with another special night. Simon Patterson, along with Astrix, will be hosting Open Up 100 at Slake on January 31st.

Open Up airs every Thursday on and is hosted by none other than trance legend, Simon Patterson. The New York trance family has grown to love him for his passionate trance sound and tracks like “Brush Strokes,” and “Whites Of Her Eyes.”

Simon is constantly being exposed on A State Of Trance and has a handful of singles that are considered “classics” to some of us, today. The Irish rooted producer has built a name for himself since his career kicked off about 15 years ago, and continues to be am intricate staple in the trance world.

This special night is also host to Israeli, Astrix. The New York trance family is constantly wishing for more psy-trance and that is exactly what Esscala is providing them with. It is a rarity to have such top-notch talent in one room, but what better place for it than New York City?

Astrix doesn’t make stops here often, so you can expect a night of up-tempo and uplifting psy-trance. Astrix’s 2002 album, Eye To Eye is still a hit across the world and is one of those albums that will just never get old. The album was one to shape the last decade of trance music.

Slake provides a cozy environment and familiar faces will fill the room — the two are in for a extraordinary night with dedicated fans who have been anxiously awaiting for their arrival for months! Tickets for the event went on sale back in November, but a limited amount are still available online.

Psy-trance is definitely an acquired sound, but a loved one across the board in NYC. It’s a night you do not want to miss! It’s not too late to grab tickets:
