Pretty Lights – the musical vision of producer Derek Vincent Smith – will close out 2012 with two very special shows. Fans will be treated to “An Intimate Evening with Pretty Lights” on December 30 and 31 at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom. Though he has made appearances at NYC festivals such as Electric Zoo and Governor’s Ball, this will be the first Pretty Lights event in the city in over two years. Both nights will feature extended Pretty Lights sets, giving concertgoers hours of Pretty Lights classics, bangers and unreleased, new tracks in a more intimate setting. Rolling Stone praised Pretty Lights’ performance at Electric Zoo in New York City, noting: “the real star on Friday was Colorado native Derek Smith, better known as the wildly unique and talented producer Pretty Lights” while The New York Times observed: “the set by Pretty Lights…slowed to a hip-hop swagger and flaunted rough tones and raspy voices.”
